Aquatap Plumbing x Werribee City Football Club
When Aquatap Plumbing partnered with Werribee City Football Club, the objective extended far beyond brand visibility. This was a grassroots investment in community. The club was in need of more than a recruitment video - they needed a story. A story that would resonate with parents, and one that would inspire young players - a story that would remind the community what local sport truly represents.
The Challenge:
Grassroots clubs don’t compete on facilities or prestige, they compete on feeling, a sense of belonging, confidence, growth and connection. The challenge was to capture something intangible - the reason families choose community sport - and translate it into a piece of content that could actively drive recruitment while honouring Aquatap’s role in supporting that ecosystem. This project required more than filming, it required emotional intelligence, narrative precision and an understanding of what truly motivates action.
Our Approach:
We anchored the creative in a simple but powerful truth: People don’t join clubs, they join how those clubs make them feel. From there, we built a strategy grounded in three pillars.
Human-centred storytelling: placing real people at the heart of the campaign
Unscripted authenticity: capturing genuine, unscripted moments between players, parents and coaches
Sideline encouragement: highlighting the quiet build of confidence and pride in wearing the club colours
Emotion-led narrative ensured the work moved beyond surface-level messaging, progressing from curiosity and relatability, into belonging through teamwork and connection as well as culminating in pride, identity and confidence. Subtle brand integration meant Aquatap’s presence was felt, not forced keeping the story authentic, the club front and centre and positioning the brand as a genuine enabler of community outcomes. Because today’s audiences don’t respond to interruption - they respond to alignment.
Execution:
Embedded, on-ground filming placed us within live training environments, capturing the club as it truly operates, without interruption or staging
Lightweight, agile execution ensured minimal disruption to the club’s rhythm, enabling authentic interactions to take centre stage
Authenticity-led direction prioritised real emotion over performance, guiding moments rather than scripting them
In post-production, the story was carefully shaped through:
Considered pacing that mirrored the emotional journey
Immersive sound design to deepen connection
Intentional sequencing that elevated everyday moments into something meaningful
The Outcome:
The final pieces delivered more than a recruitment asset, rather becoming community pieces and something the club could proudly share, something families could see themselves in and something Aquatap could stand behind as a meaningful extension of their brand.
Impact included:
A stronger emotional connection between the club and their community
Elevated perception of the club’s culture and values
Clear positioning of Aquatap as a business that invests in people, not just promotio
A scalable content asset for ongoing recruitment and engagement
What This Represents:
